board games are on a comeback!

Every week, in venues all around the country, people are throwing out the computers and getting into some serious competition over a board. And not the average Monopoly or Risk either, hardcore 2hr long strategic battles where you can never stop thinking.

Whilst it may be seen as old-fashioned there are some good reasons for giving it a go- “It's less about intelligence, more about wanting to have great interaction. It's a bit of a challenge and an experience."

- They create communities
- They're more satisfying than TV or computer games
- There is a bit of competition, and a sense of achievement
