All aboard on the 23rd
Testing, testing, 1,2,3.
Lights on, computers whirring, sound systems checked, games tested and there’s a smell of polish in the air. Youth Space staff are on board and excitement levels are going through the roof in the run up to the youth space launch on Friday 23rd September.
The day will start with a blessing, and then people will get a chance to pop in and have a look round. Invitations have been sent out to those who have been involved along the way, and we’d love for anyone interested in seeing the fabulousness to pop in during the day and say hi. It’ll give you chance to have a nosey round and find out what we’ve got planned for the next few months.
The journey began in 2008 when the Palmerston North Youth Council conducted a survey asking young people how they like to spend their recreation time and what they would like to see in the city in the future. We’ve come a long way since then and after tons of conversations about how it should look and how it should be used we are finally ready to welcome you aboard!
We'll be uploading the programme of events and activities on the CheckM8 website so come back again soon.
